Have you ever wondered what’s really behind those news websites that pump out articles faster than you can read them? Well, journalism tool “NewsGuard” recently uncovered a shocking truth about some of them.

They found that almost 50 AI-generated “content farms” were being run by chatbots posing as journalists. These sites churn out content on politics, health, environment, finance, and technology at a rapid rate and flood them with ads for profits.

The worst part? Over half of these sites don’t even have any obvious record of ownership or control. And some of the content they put out advances false narratives.

So, how can you stay informed without being misled by these AI-powered news farms? Look no further than “AI For Real”, the AI newsletter for the layman. Our latest issue breaks down the NewsGuard investigation and explains how AI is changing the media landscape.
